Only a day late,  hah!  I have my new monitor now,  and I must say,  a larger monitor makes drawing more pleasureable.

What this means for you guys is that there will be no new comics for a week or possibly more.  I know you’ll view this as an inconvenience and probably feel kind of irritated with me,  but since it’s the monitor on my art computer I have really no other way to draw the comic.  I don’t think you expect me to try to draw on a 1024×600 EEE screen,   do you?  I thought not.  So,  anyway,  I’m going to buy a new monitor soon,  and I’ll post the next page as soon as it’s ready.  

I may try to compensate with some Bonus Material (I know how much everyone loves bonus material in lieu of comics!) if I can think of anything.

That’s all for the flashback,   folks!  Whew.  I should note that the Galileo is the second ship which Robinson lost.  The first may be discussed some other time.  Anyway,  now we know why Robinson hates Astor so much,  which is why I put you through this.

Also,  a side-note:  I know I often cite The Adventures of Tintin as an influence,  but really this comic has very little in common with it.  If you’re one of the Tintin fans who thinks that Tintin is overly emotional in the scene where he thinks that Captain Haddock has just been vaporized,  well,  I’d say you probably won’t like this comic.

And regarding the melodramatic side of today’s episode:  I realize that having the Galileo get blown up accidentally by a firework is really melodramatic,  but I wanted to stress the fact that there is no conceivable way the Captain could have averted the disaster.

Oh,  no!  Not a flashback!  A flashback?!  What is he thinking?

Okay,  I don’t know if you guys hate flashbacks as much as I do,  but after much deliberation on my part I decided that this one was necessary.  It pains me very much to do this,  but sometimes it needs to be done.  Don’t worry,  it’ll be only two pages long.

As you may recall,  Captain Robinson has in the past lost two ships.  The one depicted here is the second,  the RAS Galileo.  You may also notice that this is an Astor Airlines ship:  Prior to the founding of Kindler Airlines,   Astor Airlines was the only airship line in the United States,  so Robinson was at that time an employee of Astor.

Anyway,  my deepest apologies.  We’ll get back to the real story shortly.

One of you mentioned Mr. Nutcracker,  a computer game I made a long time ago.  In the spirit of Christmas,  I’m posting it here for you guys.  It’s a Windows installer,  3.3 MB.  To put it simply,  you’re an evil nutcracker who wreaks havoc in a festively-decorated house.  Also he can fly.  It’s undoubtedly one of the most destructive Christmas-related things in existence.

If you’re wondering about the 2,  it’s technically the sequel to a game called Mr. Nutcracker that I made a long time ago.  I’m not going to post that one.

(A hint for those who can’t escape from the attic:  first you have to go up into the rafters and get your first box of Christmas lights.  Then use them on the  ladder.)
